推特(Twitter)將杜絕「暴力行為與仇恨舉止」(abusive behavior and hateful conduct)。推特表示：「我們相信保護大眾不受暴力與騷擾，是賦予他們自由表達自我的重要一環。」(We believe that protection from abuse and harassment is a vital part of empowering people to freely express themselves on Twitter.) abusive(adj.辱罵的；虐待的)=字首ab-(表away)+use(使用)+形容詞字尾-ive，語言遠離了正當用途則是暴力謾罵。(★abnormal異常的、absent缺席的，都有字首ab-)
